About Ty Caton
Ty Caton Vineyards, a small family-owned winery established with the 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, boasts a rich history and a dedication to excellence. The Caton Vineyard, founded in the 1920s, operated through prohibition and later served as a summer camp in the 1960s. In 1997, Ty Caton began developing his parents’ 108-acre property in the Mayacamas Mountain Range, now part of the prestigious Moon Mountain District. This led to the creation of Ty Caton Vineyards, known for producing bold, beautifully structured wines.
In 2007, a tasting room was opened in Kenwood, California. Ty Caton, serving as CEO, COO, and winemaker, is supported by his family. The winery produces just under 10,000 cases annually, featuring over 20 products, including 11 small production Cabernet Sauvignons and other varietals like Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Malbec. The flagship wine, Tytanium, has garnered numerous awards, including “Best of Class” honors.
We invite you to visit us in Sonoma Valley to experience our acclaimed wines and the rich history of Ty Caton Vineyards. Come and enjoy the unique character of our wines, crafted with passion and a commitment to excellence. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our love for winemaking.
